Team up with fellow filmmakers to create your own movie in Action! Assemble a team of superstars, directors and technicians to create a celluloid masterpiece. Work together to get the perfect take and make a Roblox movie that rivals the biggest blockbusters.
Gameplay
Note that only one person per team can be director, two can be technicians and the other players must be the actors. If you are the director, it is time to write a script and then choose a set from the options.
Technicians will need to select the right effects for the movie. You can control day and night and create effects like fire and fog for extra drama. Choose from the special effects too – you can even upload your own.
Actors to your dressing rooms! Pick out the emotes, accessories and special costume packages your character will need, then edit your avatar so you look the part. Discuss with the director what you will be doing in each scene and get ready to roll!
Quick Tips
Role Rehearsal
When you are looking at the accessories, costumes, emotes and FX, you can preview them on a dummy avatar before you choose to use them. This should give you time to find the perfect items and moves for each scene.
Screen Play
When you are directing, the script is the best place to fill out the details of the movie you have in mind. Briefly describe the characters and what they will be doing in each scene so that everyone is on the same page.
Ensemble Piece
Actors have space for expression and improvisation but should stick closely to the script where possible. If you act wildly away from the script, then your fellow performers might not be able to follow along and play their part well.
Budget Cuts
Emotes, costumes, sets and special effects cost money, but luckily you steadily earn it just by playing the game! Directors earn half as quickly as everyone else – the price to pay for the opportunity of getting your vision on the big screen.
SirMing
Action! was a pet project for SirMing and it took him a whole year to create. He wanted to make an original game in which players could work together to perform and direct their own films and that is exactly what he did.
