The Barber Shop
Once Tom Nook has expanded to the department store Nookington’s, he has the extra space to let Harriet open up a barber shop. If you are tired of walking around with the same haircut or if you have been hiding your mop under a hat, maybe it is time to change up your hair styles and colour and create a whole new you!
Don’t you hate it when the hairdresser doesn’t cut your hair the way you want it? Animal Crossing’s stylist, Harriet, cuts and colours your hair in one of 16 ways (eight for each gender) according to how you answer the odd-ball questions she asks you. This can be a frustrating experience at first, but with some experimentation you will be able to control the outcome a bit better.
The Able Sisters
The Able Sisters’ shop is right next to Nook’s Cranny. It is run by the sisters Sable and Mable – Mabel does the talking whilst Sable does the sewing. They will sell you clothing and personal accessories to wear. You can also create and display your own custom designs in the shop to see if you can start a fashion revolution.
Purchasing Items
Has your sense of style gone stale? Not to worry – the Able Sisters have a wide variety of cutting-edge shirts and umbrellas – and just about anything else your heart desires.
Custom Designs
Maybe you have got an artistic flair, but nowhere to use it. How about showing off your artwork on your chest? Design a cool new shirt – maybe folks around town will notice.
The Main Gate
Has the hustle and bustle of daily life got you stressed to the max? Maybe you need a little vacation. Pack your bags and head to the main gate. Using your Wi-Fi or DS-to-DS connection, the main gate allows you to travel to another town and see how the other half lives.
Booker’s Help
Booker is the soft spoken and melancholy guard who stands on the left side of the main gate. His principal responsibilities are to watch over the lost items of the town and to implement any changes to the town flag. Booker is also a great source to find out what is happening around town – he is always in the loop when it comes to special visitors.
Lost Items
The neighbours in your town are honest enough to take lost items to Booker so that the rightful owners can get them back. However, Booker doesn’t really keep track of things, so if you say the item is yours, you will get it. It may be dishonest, but all is fair in the lost and found.
Flag Change
The town flag flies high at the main gate. If you don’t like the pattern that is on the flag, you can make your own custom design. Just create a design at the Able Sisters’ shop then talk to Booker about changing the flag. Your own custom flag will help your town feel more like home.
The gate also serves as an entrance for other people to come visit your town and is the home of your town’s lost and found. It is open 24 hours a day and is guarded by Booker and Copper.
Copper the Gatekeeper
Copper is the exact opposite of his sidekick Booker – he is all business when it comes to protecting and serving. His duties are related to the security of the front gate. No one gets in or out of your town without his permission. You can rest easy knowing that Copper is keeping the riffraff out of your fine neighbourhood!
Copper is in charge of all things related to wireless play. If you want to leave your town or open your gate for a visitor from another town, simply let Copper know. He will take care of setting it up.
